AIDA 2 Pool Freediving Course in Westfjords Region, Iceland

This course is designed for people that have no desire to train depth, but are interested in pool disciplines and breath hold techniques. It can also act as a temporary, or pool section of the full AIDA level 2 course if needed. The student will gain freediving theoretical knowledge and practical applications n the pool setting over the space of 1.5 days.

This course offers a solid foundation for the student who will finish with confidence on safety procedures, swimming and breath hold techniques that will act as a perfect base to continue in depth or further pool training.

Course includes:
A theory session, practical session for breathing and relaxation techniques, a stretching session, and three pool sessions.

-blackout and loss of motor control (lmc) prevention

– must be 18 year old or 16 with parent or guardian consent
– must be able to swim 200 m no stop without fins or 300 m no stop with fins, mask and snorkel
To successfully complete the course the student must perform a 2 minutes static breath hold, and swim 40 meters underwater.

What to bring:
towel, freediving wetsuit, fins, snorkel and mask, weight belt and weights (if possible)
