Many coastal communities rely on spearfishing as a source of food and revenue. This form of sustainable fishing has been used for thousands of years and ensures that fisheries continue to thrive in marine and freshwater habitats.
The dreadful toll of spearfishing partly comes from the fact that it is often an individual activity, so when accidents happen, they are usually fatal. Many of those who take up spearfishing are self-taught and would greatly benefit from a proper understanding of the physiological mechanisms at play during breath-hold diving.
This theoretical course is self-taught and includes AIDA 1 & 2 manual, course slides and videos. It is technically part of the regular AIDA 1 & 2 courses. Students are encouraged to pursue their education in the water whenever possible.
Those with no access to PayPal or a credit card to pay the course fees are encouraged to reach us.
The course material is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Indonesian, Japanese and Chinese (simplified and traditional)
