Even if you have no previous experience, the AIDA1 Freediver Course will introduce you to the best and most magical underwater experience.

In AIDA 1, you will learn the basics of freediving. What is Freediving? Where does it come from? What kind of equipment is needed? How to breathe before a dive? How do i perform a duck dive, finning, buddying and safety techniques? What are the main risks and dangers and how to counter them?

There are 2 sessions: a short intro to breathhold diving in confined water (usually pool) as well as open water (ocean).

AIDA 1 is recommended for students with either no previous freediving experience or who would like to try freediving over one day and still get a qualification. This is why the AIDA 1 course is the best 1-day freediving foundation course.

The AIDA 1 course consists of:

2 short theory sessions
1 breathing and relaxation session
1 confined water session (swimming pool)
1 open water session (ocean)

Theory sessions:
Equipment for freediving
Breathing for freediving
Equalisation technique
Safety for freediving
Freediving and Scuba Diving

Relaxation session:
How we can relax our mind and body

During the Confined Water session:
Static apnea training
Experiencing some contractions
Safety and buddy

During the Open Water session:
Using equipment
Duck diving
Body positioning
Free Immersion and Constant Weight
Finning style
Safety and Buddying
Dives will be at 10m maximum depth

There are no minimum requirements to pass the course.

Your Freediving Instructor will guide you through this journey of well-being and fun.

Once completed you can sign up for the AIDA2 Freediver at a later date or even the day after.

Amed, Bali is the perfect place to freedive. The ocean is warm, clear and blue. Tropical fishes come and visit us doing our sessions + there are some nice photo opportunities.
After diving you can treat yourself in one of the many restaurants offering everything from western to local Indonesian food.
No need to tell you that Bali is a perfect travel destination in general! In the Amed region you can do all kinds of ocean-based activities, go hiking in the mountains, do yoga retreats, get massages, etc... All while staying in beautiful and budget-friendly accomodation.
